About Énergir urban heating and cooling

Énergir urban heating and cooling is a Québec company, wholly owned subsidiary of Énergir. It provides energy services to over one third of Montreal’s downtown core. It has been operating the Montreal Thermal Plant since its creation in 1947. Énergir urban heating and cooling provides heating and air conditioning to a large portion of Montreal’s downtown.

Énergir Urban Heating and Cooling carries out energy efficiency projects based on increasing amounts of renewable energy sources (solar, biofuel, or renewable natural gas) in order to reduce the greenhouse gas emissions of its customers.

A number of customers in downtown Montreal have chosen our energy networks to heat and cool their buildings under a long-term contract tailored to their needs.
